It’s been a crappy month. I’ve been so ill I’ve barely had the strength to sit up, never-mind work. Those of you who know me well probably aren’t too surprised; I always seem to have something wrong with me. Well, I felt like I’d finally got to the bottom of it and started a new diet. The first week was great, but since then it’s sent my body into some kind of crazy, stressed mess. I won’t bore you (and myself) with all the details, but let’s just say it has been tough and, annoyingly, still continues to be, although I am ever so slowly getting better. At least now I’m able to do a little work… That keeps my spirits up!
Having been out for a month, there’s not going to be much to update you all on, is there? Why did I think writing this blog post would be a good idea? What’s the point of it with no news? Did I feel like wasting all your time?
Ah, I exaggerate! I’ve been working a little this last week or so and have updates to share: One Night Stand’s full version is getting very close to completion! The last two days I’ve been fixing minor, annoying bugs, and last week I finished off all the new animated sprites!
You may notice that the girl now has pupils! Staggering stuff, I know. When the original game was made in 3.5 weeks, small details just got left out from the sprites, otherwise I’d have never made the NaNoRenO deadline. It’s been nice going over them again and polishing them up.
That’s pretty much everything I’ve worked on in the last few weeks. My to-do list is probably longer than you’d expect, considering I just wrote above that the game is close to completion… Ah, optimism. The story and music are a little behind, although what’s planned is exciting stuff, believe you me! Of course, then I’ll have to implement it all, and I’ll also be adding a gallery so you can clearly see which endings you’ve unlocked and which you still need to experience.
Remaining jobs are sorting out paper work, play/ bug testing and adding Steam achievements etc. I also have a few ideas about extra artwork I’d like to add, though whether or not this’ll happen at this point I’m not too sure. After all, I have my actual game to be working on which feels like it’s been pushed back to the stone-age. Once ONS is completed, all will be resumed. Actually, I can’t wait to get back into LoveIRL’s development, I miss my baby!
