Escaping Reality
"An imprisoned game character breaks out of his cell to realise there is more to escape than a dungeon."
Escaping Reality was my final year animated short for my BA Animation, completed in 2009. It questions escapism into games; How we want to escape reality when we play but should appreciate what we have in real life. The film also explores how artificial intelligence could occur through game updates.
Winner of Best Undergraduate Creative Concept at Salford’s Digital Animation and Gaming Prize 2012.
